Are you looking for an opportunity to create your own ‘make a difference’ story?
For many children, the Christmas giving season has become all about them – wish lists, iPads, iPods, and more focus on ME asking for and receiving everything I want. If you’re like us, you are looking for a high-impact experience to change this conversation with your children. You’ve probably been searching for just the right charity or volunteer opportunity to get your kids involved at a young age to learn about the true meaning of this time of year – that it’s better to give than to receive.
We looked for opportunities for young children to get involved in charity. But what we mostly found were charities that supported young children, not necessarily charities focused on involving kids in the giving process or volunteer process, first-hand.
Meet Santa’s Elves – Kids Giving to Kids. With us, your kids can get involved, first-hand, in donating and volunteering at Christmas. It works by your family signing up to adopt one or more of the 2,000 children that live in one of the Denver Housing Authority neighborhoods. What makes our program different and a high-impact giving charity for children, is that your children get to deliver presents to the adopted kids face-to-face at one of our events on December 12th.
