Whether you are giving children gifts during the event or delivering to the child’s home, prepare your family for the process.

Sample language to help prepare your elves in case the receiving child unexpectedly cannot attend the event:

  • For elves going to the event – “We hope to meet the family today at the event. If not, I’m sure they will receive the gifts later and appreciate them on Christmas morning. Either way, you sure did a great thing today.”
  • For delivery elves – “We hope they will be home. If they are not, the Santa’s Elves team will help us meet them another day soon.”

While most Givers have an incredible experience, please know we cannot guarantee a perfect experience.

Sometimes the child’s parents work several jobs, don’t have reliable transportation or someone gets sick—and they don’t show up at the event. That rarely happens, but is always a possibility.

In case a family doesn’t show up, our staff will work with you to find the best solution. During the event, just look for a staff member wearing a black elf hat and black elf shirt for help. If you’re delivering to the child’s house, call (720) 515-5692 or email northpole@santaselvesdenver.org.
