DENVER -Every child deserves the chance to be successful at school. Sometimes that’s as simple as giving them the right tools; like new notebooks, pencils and calculators. That’s why KidsGiving365 has teamed up with KOOL105 Radio to Make it KOOL to go Back to School.

During the event, happening now through August 5, you and your family, business or club can buy back-to-school supplies for students living in poverty in the Denver Housing projects. Either make a donation online or meet the child you’re giving school supplies to in person. That’s pretty KOOL.

Here’s how it works:

  • Go online and choose a child you want to help
  • Buy school supplies for the child (We’ll email you the student’s exact supply list)
  • Give the supplies in person where the child lives in the Denver Housing Authority projects on August 5, 2017
  • Or make a donation today to help kids needing supplies

You can sign up now through July 28 to participate in the event on August 5, 2017 at noon at the South Lowell Community Center, 4725 South Lowell Blvd., Denver, CO 80211.

You’ll serve children living in the Denver Housing Authority. Statistics show 80% of the residents there live in poverty. More than half of the residents are younger than 15 years old.

When children volunteer, studies show they learn kindness, respect and empathy. They also do better in school, and are less likely to become pregnant and try drugs. KidsGiving365 is creating the next generation of givers.
